Get ready for an unforgettable adventure! Our annual summer camp is fast approaching, and in July 2025, we’ll be heading to the beautiful Camp Meriwether in Oregon. This is a fantastic opportunity to earn merit badges and have loads of fun! Each scout will have the chance to choose their preferred merit badges for the trip.
For those who prefer to stay closer to home, we’ve also organized a group to attend Long-Term Camp at McNeil Scout Ranch at Peaceful Valley.
🚀 Fundraising Has Begun! We’re kicking off our fundraising efforts to support these amazing experiences. Keep an eye out for upcoming fundraising opportunities and ways to get involved.
Troop 564 is currently an all-boys troop, but we are working to train female leaders and may soon start a Girl troop. Troop 564 consists of approximately 22 Scouts ranging from 10.5 to 16 years old. The majority of the Scouts are currently in 5th to 8th grade.
Scouts BSA aims to teach youth various life skills, encourage leadership, teamwork, outdoor experiences, and fun. We achieve this through active participation, including weekly meetings, service projects, camping trips, and other activities.
Some of our recent activities include camping at Wellington Lake near Bailey, CO this month, snow tubing with families in January, and a scheduled week-long campout at Camp Alexander near Lake George, CO in June. We also participated in the Klondike Derby in February, a winter campout where Scouts earn points by completing skills like First Aid and map reading. Additionally, we have monthly community service opportunities.
Our schedule for the rest of the year includes Scout camp, where Scouts work on advancement requirements, group activities like hiking and swimming, camping in Boulder County in August, and participating in the Greater Colorado Council Jamboree in September. We typically have around 10 events per year, excluding December.
We hold our meetings nearly every Tuesday at the Northglenn Moose Lodge on York Street, south of 120th and north of 112th. Meetings start at 7 PM and conclude at 8:30 PM.
When you arrive, head to the south end of the building, closer to the train tracks. Park in the Moose lodge lot, walk past the front door heading South, and find the far left door on the East side. Just knock if the door isn't open.
Once a month, we will meet to pick up garbage on 112th Ave from Colorado to York Street, and then optionally get Slurpees at the 7/11 near the start. This normally counts as two service hours.
